Reception, Lobsta ( or lobster) and Bean

Promiseland State Park

Thursday July 19

We are on our way to Hollis New Hampshire to attend a wedding reception picnic. Our neighbor from years ago, Angie Owen, was married in Florida a couple of months ago in a beach ceremony. Then to Maine and Lobsta and LL Bean

As we were packing the camper yesterday I did a tire check and made sure all tires were 50 psi, one was at 41 psi. After we had packed the fridge this morning I did another tire pressure check of the low tire from yesterday and found that it was 3 pounds low. Panic time. Suzette suggested I check another tire and it too was 47 psi. So I checked them all and they were all about 3 pounds low. I guess that is the difference with a hot late afternoon tire check and a cool morning check. Put them all at 50 again. and we finished the hook up and headed out.

The weather was overcast and traffic was normal for I81 with only one work slowdown neare MM 107. We hit some light rain along the way but nothing to bad until we were on I84. Of course as we were checking in at the park the rain increased and then increased more as we were ready to setup at our site.

When we were almost complete with the setup the rain quit and the sun broke through. We had a lite snack since we missed lunch, the rest areas were all full in the truck/trailer parking areas. We took a trip back to the interstate for fuel and then we just kicked back. Suzette worked on her knitting projects and I investigated the inner surface of my right and left eyes.

The park is very large and there are a number of camping areas. We are in the Beechwood area. This area has electric hookups only. I don't know of any water and electric sites and no sites have sewer. The sites are paved but on the small side. That said there are some large rigs here. The Lower Lake Campground Guide states that the sites are from 20' to 35'. The price is right, $18 for non PA residents and seniors get a $3 dicsount. The shower house is very nice and well maintained.Off to Hollis tomorrow.
